BDA Sites for freedom fighters

The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) will distribute sites to 28 senior freedom fighters of the city as a token of respect, and to recognize their services to the country.BDA authorities will distribute letters of allotment of the sites, measuring 30 x 40 feet, situated at 6th stage, BTM layout, at a function in Ramamurthy nagar, Bangalore, on December 24.

According to BDA, this will end the freedom fighters, long wait. However,it will take 90 days for the beneficiaries to complete formalities involved in getting the sites registered to their names. They can begin construction work once the formalities are over.

Each site costs Rs 2, 34,108 and the beneficiaries will have to pay 10 percent of the site value, which will be around Rs 2,341, as registration fees.
